We invite local organizers, photographers, Wikimedians, and folklore enthusiasts to discuss the upcoming campaign, theme, and prizes.

During this session, the International Team will cover the following topics:

1. Introductions & Photography (20 mins)

  1. Welcome & Introductions (5 mins)
  2. Wiki Loves Folklore 2026 (15 mins)
    • Background details and information of the project.
    • Theme details: Focusing on resilient traditions and underrepresented folk culture.
    • Timeline: 1 February – 31 March 2026.
    • Jury criteria and categories for 2026.

2. Writing, Judging & Prizes (25 mins)

  1. Feminism and Folklore 2026 (15 mins)
    • Theme focus: Gender gap, women in folklore, and queer perspectives in folk culture.
    • How to organize a local edit-a-thon.
  2. Judging and prizes (10 mins)
    • Tools for judging WLF and F&F.
    • Prizes and best practices.

3. Q&A Session (15 mins)

  • Open floor for questions from local organizers and participants.

  • Local Organizers: If you are planning to host WLF or F&F in your country/region.
  • Photographers & Editors: If you want to understand the categories and themes better.
  • Affiliates: Chapters and User Groups looking to organize and take part in WLF and FNF.
